Ignition Group loves to do things differently, and by differently we mean better. We recently held a recruitment drive at our headquarters in Umhlanga, but to make it an event that people wanted to be at we invited East Coast Radio to join us for a live broadcast.
Stacey and J Sbu, two of the most popular radio personalities in South Africa, are known for their vibey and edgy show, and it was just the ticket to get new recruits in through the doors and started on their journey to become Ignitioners. It wasn’t all about recruitment, though, as the show gave all of us at Ignition the opportunity to see Stacey and J Sbu in action and join in the festivities.
We also used the occasion to launch the Ignition Sweetest Deal campaign, with our custom-branded ice-cream truck parked on the Piazza and handing out ice-creams to anyone who referred a friend to our recruiters. And what’s better than a tasty ice-cream on a sweltering Durban day, with music playing and people dancing? It was just another way that we make work fun at Ignition.
During their show, Stacey and J Sbu interviewed two longstanding Ignitioners, Jody Stainbank and Noelle Dorasamy, who have forged successful careers at Ignition. It’s quite clear that the environment, benefits and perks offered by Ignition make it a great place to build a career.
The event was such a success, with Ignitioners from every department in the business turning out to enjoy some fun in the sun, and potential Ignitioners exposed to our unique brand of company culture. There was dancing, singing, competitions and giveaways, and a 360˚ camera that was a massive hit as it created such memorable selfie videos. See the video below.
